Buddy Camp Born
and raised in the Birmingham, Alabama area. I have been involved in gospel music most of my life. Growing up in a Christian
home, my mother (Doris Camp) was the Pianst and Organist at our home church (Coalburg Ind. Baptist) where my father (Ruben
Camp) was the music director also. I played and sang with the Gospel Crusaders Quartet in the '70's, and also with a group
called the Christians Quartet. My family sang as a group through the years calling ourselves "The Camp Family" "imagine that".
I have always loved Gospel music, and still am trying to spread the Gospel of Christ through His words and with music. I feel
God still has work for His people to do. God bless and we hope to see you soon.
Sharon Brown I grew up in the Birmingham, Alabama area, (Gardendale). I took piano at
an early age, but Buddy has been my teacher and mentor with the bass and six string. He always says he taught me guitar,
but I taught him patience!! What a sense of humor! My earliest musical memories are singing in
church where my mother took us regularly. My mother and her sisters all sing very well. I also listened to the
oldies on a "transistor" radio (but they weren’t oldies then). My father and grandfather were also strong musical
influences. My grandfather, Joe Jones, played the piano and organ and taught singing schools (shape notes) for many years.
My father (Harold Jones) is the music director at Bangor Church of Christ. Although I never heard my other grandfather (Idis
Sims) play, he did play some mandolin and banjo, and my Uncle Roy played guitar, several other cousins also played and
sang with different bands. I love all types of music, but bluegrass and gospel music are my favorites. We pray
that you hear the message in our songs and sing along with us. Have a wonderful, blessed day!!
Jerry Green "Make a Joyful noise" - this is my goal. Growing up in rural
Blount County, Alabama, my musical memories are mostly of my brother (Harvey) playing bluegrass music. I picked up some
of the basics from him, then moved on to gospel which is my favorite music. I can praise the Lord and enjoy the music
at the same time. I hope in some way our music will touch your life. Just keep praying for us, and we'll keep picking and
praising the Lord.
